Business Details

Located at the gates of Devils Tower, America’s First National Monument, the Devils Tower KOA offers visitors a complete camping package. Built on the filming site of Steven Spielberg’s famous Close Encounter’s of the Third Kind, the campground features fantastic amenities and great services including full-service RV camping, Kamping Kabins and tent camping in a spacious, western atmosphere.

The campground has well-maintained sites, beautiful trees and access to the Belle Fourche River. From those wishing to relax under their RV awning to those searching for a more primitive camping experience, the Devils Tower KOA has a site for everyone. Pets are welcome on leashes.

Campground amenities include free Wi-Fi, heated outdoor swimming pool, 24-hour laundry facilities, restrooms and shower facilities, drinking water, a dump station, recreation area, playground and game room.

Activities are held nightly including community campfires, often with local entertainment, a hayride through neighboring ranch-land and a dusk showing of Close Encounters of the Third Kind under the shadow of Devils Tower.

Looking for something special to send home? The Devils Tower KOA Gift Shop features everything from handmade pottery and fine jewelry to T-shirts, postcards, and fun souvenir items. The Cowboy Convenience Store has all your grocery, camping and on-the-road needs covered.?

If you are ready for a great home-cooked meal look no further than the Campstool Cafe and Saloon conveniently located on site and serving everything from buffalo burgers to chef salads and steaks. Dine in the newly remodeled dining room or take your meal out to the big deck, either way, the view is stunning! The adjacent Sweet Shoppe features hand-dipped ice cream, milkshakes and homemade Devils Tower Legendary Fudge.?
